Join Live Paranormal and E.V.P.S. Paranormal Society for a live stream paranormal investigation on All Saints Day at two highly active locations. The investigation will include two buildings, The Public Library and The Welcome Center which is also the Original School House.
“We have the RARE chance to investigate these two highly active locations thanks to our friends and E.V.P.S., who will be joining us in the investigation! Meet Rob Szarek, NikiParanUnNOrmal, & Jen Anderson from LiveParanormal (Plusothers).”
Some background on the library; the earliest record of a Kingsville Library “dates back to 1885 while a small library existed in the Kingsville Academy prior to that date in the Centralized High School beginning in 1872. After the civil war a small library was maintained in a home on Priest Street with books purchased from the remaining funds collected to help widows and orphans of soldiers lost in the Civil War.”
“The Linnean Literary Society of Kingsville established the first reading room of what was to become our present library. The Society met in 1885 to change its name to the Kingsville Library Association, form a board of directors and establish the library bylaws. The Association was incorporated by August of 1886. Grant Blodgett was the Association member taking the the first turn at librarian, raising funds over the next ten years to keep the library alive.”
The library seemed to have financial problems from the start, but there was always a way to save it and always the generous nature of people in the community who were ready to help out in any way. In 1911 the Library Association decided to lease out the library to the school district which would make it eligible to receive state funding.
Operating funds were hard to come by for the Library but no matter what the situation would be for them, the community would always be there to find a solution to keep it alive. There would be limited hours of operation, during the morning and afternoon, and when the old school burned to the ground in 1927 the old school lot was purchased by citizens and donated to the library for future growth.
From the start this Library with all good intentions seemed to have a struggle from time to time, but there was always someone there to help get it back on its feet to survive for another generation to enter its doors and absorb the wealth of knowledge hidden in each and every book.
And each generation has taken its turn at doing so; just as the paranormal groups that have volunteered to host the investigations on All Saints Day and donate a portion of the proceeds to the Library Funds. So let’s join in on the live investigative stream, or even purchase tickets and join LIVE Paranormal and E.V.P.S. Society on their quest to uncover the restless spirits lurking within the dark walls of the Kingsville Library and the Welcome Center.
Investigation time is 9pm to 2am. Tickets: $49 each. Tickets are VERY limited as this is a small investigation of two buildings.
