Amanda Bynes has turned into the most entertaining actress without ever needing to step foot in front of a camera. But her string of tweets on Friday morning were anything but funny when she accused her dad of abuse before retracting her story hours later.
The troubled 28-year-old who has been headlining news stories for erratic behavior over the past couple of years, went wild on the social media platform, going from needing to look pretty, to being in love, to getting abused, to kidding all within four hours.
“My dad was verbally and physically abuse [sic] to me as a child,” Bynes started out saying on her Twitter account earlier today. From there she went on, stating her reasoning for letting this all out now was to free herself from the control she felt other people had on her, using the terms ‘brainwashed’ and ‘manipulated’ to describe how she felt. She also told her 3.19 million followers to,” let me live my own life free of unhappiness and misery.”
Honey, someone needs to control your life but that’s a topic for another day.
According to a report by the New York Post, there was also a tweet put out by Bynes accusing her father of asking for sex and fondling himself in front of his daughter. Those tweets have since been removed from the account, but in the deleted comments she described her life living with the man she said abused her as “a total nightmare.”
The mother of Amanda and wife of the accused Rick Bynes put out a statement to E! news, sharing her devastation towards her daughter’s actions.
“I am heartbroken today for my husband of 47 years,” Lynn Bynes’ attorney told E! on her behalf. “Rick has been the best father and husband a family can ask for. He has never abused Amanda or our other children physically or sexually. These accusations are absolutely horrible and could not be further from the truth! These allegations stem from Amanda’s mental state at the moment. They have no basis in reality. It saddens me beyond belief that my husband’s character could be slandered in such a way.”
This afternoon, Bynes took back the comments she made about her father by coming up with an excuse that can only further the suspicions that many people have over the mental illness Bynes is suffering without proper help.
“My dad never did any of those things. The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he’s the one that ordered them to microchip me.”
For a moment, it seemed like Bynes had come to her senses. But he had her microchipped? Can he at least power her down before she spirals out of control even more?
