Brady Williams’ fourth wife, Nonie, ended last season declaring that she wanted another baby. This season hasn’t changed anything and she is actually working on trying to get pregnant. On the October 26, 2014 episode of “My Five Wives” on TLC, the arrival of a new baby was announced, but it was not Nonie who was expecting.
Karlie is the oldest daughter of Brady and Paulie Williams. She was recently married and moved away with her new husband. When his job offer didn’t work out, the young couple returned to Utah to be closer to family even though she and her husband have chosen not to have a polygamist marriage.
Karlie invited her mother, Paulie, over to see the young couple’s new home and broke the news to her that she was going to be a grandmother. Paulie was thrilled and couldn’t wait to tell Brady, but Karlie made her promise not to. She wanted them to come to dinner so she could tell her father about the baby.
Brady has been looking forward to grandchildren, even though he still has plenty of small children with his wives. He, of course, was excited when Karlie told him over dinner that he would soon be a grandpa. The new grandbaby is due in February and remarkably enough, the family has no birthdays that month.
Father’s Day was coming up and with 24 kids, that’s a big deal in the William’s household so a big get together was being planned. Karlie intended to make her announcement to the entire family that day so after Brady received cards from all of the other kids she told everyone that she thought her dad was the best dad ever and that he was now going to be a grandpa too.
Wives and kids gathered around to congratulate the young couple. Rhonda, Robyn and Rosemary expressed how happy they were for the couple. Nonie, who quickly offered hugs, looked a little taken back by the news.
She stated that she was happy for them, but also teared up at the fact that she was still hoping to have a baby of her own, and was not having any success. Viewers probably sensed a bit of jealousy by her reaction and on camera statement.
Rosemary quickly decided that since she was married to Brady and it was his grandchild, she had every right to claim the baby as her grandchild too. This is Paulie’s first grandchild by her first born daughter. Will she become jealous of the other wives claiming rights to her grandbaby?
The show “My Five Wives” could get very interesting this season as Brady tries to deal with having a baby of his own with Nonie, having a daughter who is already pregnant and having five wives who seem to get along on the surface, but show their jealous sides too.
Tune into TLC on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. CST and see how Brady copes. Keep up with the family on their Facebook page, Brady and Wives. Fans can also follow them on Twitter.
