The power & the beauty of a battered or abused woman to survive knives which pivot and glass as shatters upon her, compare the ability of our heroine who as a little girl told her mother that one day she would and does eventually battle and conquer men and one evil woman who although she battles the kind and long-suffering birth mother, eventually dies in the end. The goatee, dark-haired thirty-something man toward the final scenes of the film who always also mistreats the abused women on top of all of the other sorrow they suffered, though he pretends to be good is actually more evil than any other woman of the film, including the head matron who trains the girls to fight ~ Only some wise & discerning people during the film see who and what he really is. That he is sick and evil and only wants to delight, as he does during the film, slicing the head off of her already battered and abused friend. Through this although we are able to see the evil heart of that particular young man, “In the end Maggie Q. is vindicated by her boyfriend agent who both falls head over heals in love and he filled with a great understanding of her need to practice self-defense against hardened male criminals gently surfaces.”
The film then which had just shifted only moments before, as the mark of adventure had turned to dark after light ~ One of the most fascinating romance scenes ever seen had just taken place only moments before. Out on a soft ocean Charlene, our heroine eventually woos her agent. Naked Weapon, however seems like such an insult to these sharp dressed young ladies. At first, the film opens up with a lot of suspicious womanizing un-virtue, “To be an agent, Jack you need to think fast. It shouldn’t take you twenty-minutes to get a cup of coffee…either get the secrets or she kill you.” Jack, who is immature and whose interest seems not to exceed that of a juvenile fascination about his own flesh, is at first forced to live only for snacks or coffee by the other agents. His incredible low intelligence seems unable to identify the real meaning of her incredible body. The men may not realize a misnomer of comment, related to on-the-job sexual harassment they commit against women with their mouth and words alone, and yet they strangely decide they feel sorry for all of the unkindness they commit only after her propensity for a more chill bottle of wine. Well, that and she takes a hunting rifle away from one of the men who out of obedient audacity to a right quintessential moral she does not fail to shoot point blank for her own self-defense against the wicked gangster men she encounters during her first job at a nice luxury hotel. The interim of a thesis for female survival, during a flashback to an earlier time, her kind therapist and she together flesh out the childhood of the woman through the use of ingenious therapeutic tools.
A reference of today’s mission to kill a group of enemy soldiers, a theme of women who a man of all people wants to teach to stand up and fight for themselves instead of just laying down and taking whatever comes. That and being forced to accept that that is just the way life is. The un-option of taught helplessness, a requirement of some cultural sects, the oriental female women of this action-adventure film display a lot of the likely feelings & thoughts which women who enlisted to the war of today go through. As one woman tells another woman that she will come to the place of war front and will have to kill, it is an obvious and frightening feat that the women of the training boot camp may only produce one survivor who goes to battle at the final war.
“A path to your own mortality is only a foot-step away.” A vicious battle to the finish where all you can choose is your own weapon, a woman who trained to be a woman who comes to the place where her only option a plea for you to remember the one who died in the cage that night. She the one without no friends and no support has only one thing that belongs to no one but her. Her soul. And while the film which portrays the life of the martial art as a fight to the death, the oriental religion of zen does not practice survival of the fittest and a need to eliminate the sick or weak in such a way. The art of karate for example properly taught the traditional way, the teacher decides to break all of her rules & keep all three of the final contestants. “Taste your wine, and tell me the year & the label.” From the ability to identify by mere taste all from Vegas, 1985 to table wine, the girls find out that they will make $3 Mil a year, after the post-dinner trial test. After the girls all three, raped cult style, are forced also to embody the thought brought on by a sedative within the alcohol which weakens the soul from protecting itself. The girls are then first violently forced to have sex with strange men, and then mind-controlled into the belief through a cult incentive form of gentle as opposed to at this time violent-verbal-battering, that to only give men pleasure they must give the whole entire force of the female life to a man. And at each foreign level of her work throughout the film, Charlene the seeming strongest leader of the three, she rises through. “If you watch, it’s more work, more money.”
To say that a woman as glorious victor warrior of a busy & violent horror of a front line of the battle unusual, that women fought as leaders of entire wars has gone back to much earlier than even 1200 B.C. The form and outfit style of the schemato change from age to age. But such decor depends on the colorful statement of attitude whether by choice of preference due to emotion or not. A young man who reads a newspaper from Hong-Kong wonders as a mother wonders at the very same time, about the very same woman that he does, her only daughter. Charlene, the daughter prays at the same time unbeknownst to her own real mother, at a different locale. But not as far away at all as her mother even thinks to the goddess of her religion for the whereabout of her mother. Forty girls who once kidnapped all disappeared at about the same time. The child now grown, the same mother does not still know where the daughter taken as a child went to. At ship No. #413577, though the investigation is on, and although the C.I.A. is no match for the oriental female fighters, the girls are not just a female Jackie Chan, they by far exceed that. The men want to help the women who brainwashed really have no idea what they are doing, except trained survival. An interesting twist on how the way women who trapped in a religious cult are actually often beat & verbally abused and taught quiet submission to violence and learned helplessness. Such women as this often fear to fight anyone, as the trained outcome is often what the agent who promises to help her illustrates. The agent who captures her to rescue her later explains that men are often more resistant to colds and illness, and therefore also run faster than women. The woman escapes shortly after he explains all of this to her. Once he covered her with his jacket, a new experience of love for her. So, she decides to just run away from him, as opposed to bringing any harm to him. It is quite obvious that she remembers telling her mother she would someday beat up all of the bad guys for her, as several continual flashbacks of this type of conversation between Charlene & her mother occur during a dream-like state. The girls should not be attacking C.I.A. agents as that is wrong. However, it is made clear and representative that they do not know what they are doing, and that the agents fully realize that the girls need rescued, and no longer punished just for trying to survive. Still it is refreshing to see women from the point of view who contain an oriental martial art fight film with such clean-cut velocity. Call me superstitious, but. In the end Maggie Q is vindicated by her boyfriend agent who falls head over heals in love with her. A great understanding of her need to practice self-defense against hardened male criminals develops quickly after that love scene. The film done by Hatta Sia Movies earned HK$72,828 the first opening week, and is rated R for adult content.
