The Northeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists officially kicked off its 2014 English Campmeeting on Friday at Camp Victory Lake in Hyde Park, NY.
From June 26-28 and July 4-5, the Conference will host its English Campmeeting with guest speakers, Pastors Wintley Phipps of the Palm Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church; Rogers Johnson, Pathfinder Director of the Southwest Region Conference; Dr. Delbert Baker, Vice President of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists; and Dr. Leroy Coleman of the Shiloh Seventh-day Adventist Church in Chicago, IL. During the second weekend of the campmeeting, the Conference will also host an ordination ceremony with Levi Johnson, president of the Central Jamaica Conference in the Pavilion.
Last month, the Conference hosted campmeeting for its Hispanic congregations with guest speaker, John Dinzey, Director of 3ABN Latino. The Franco-Haitian Campmeeting is scheduled for August 20-24 with guest speaker, Elie Henry, the Executive Secretary for the Inter-American Division.
Hundreds of youth, young adults, and adults are expected to attend the campmeeting themed, “Even so, come, Lord Jesus!,” throughout the summer on the campgrounds. All campmeetings will be held at 277 Crum Elbow Rd. Hyde Park, NY 12538. The services will also be available via live stream.
The Northeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists is a religious non-profit organization that oversees 177 churches and 15 parochial schools across several states including Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
