This week on Netflix brings a cornucopia of streaming offerings, starting today with the Netflix original “Print the Legend,” an award-winning documentary about 3D printing. It’s just the start of a ton of great offerings this week.
Today also brings the 6th season of the NBC comedy “Parks and Recreation,” starring Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope, head of P&R in the small town of Pawnee, Indiana. Chock full with great characters, “Parks and Recreation” is an underrated comedic delight. Also arriving on September 30 is “Killing Me Softly,” the crime film/political polemic directed by Andrew Dominik and starring Brad Pitt. This strange, polarizing film is a massive departure from Dominik’s previous film, “The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford,” which also starred Pitt.
The packed week continues on September 27th with the Oscar-nominated (!) “Bad Grandpa,” with Johnny Knoxville disguised as aging rebel Irving Zisman.
September 28 brings maybe the most anticipated offering of the week, the 4th season of AMC’s smash-hit cable drama “The Walking Dead.” You can view a slideshow of the cast of “The Walking Dead” above.
This week also brings the first of October, which offers several great new streaming arrivals, from the beloved westerns “Shane” and “Tombstone” to the cult classic “Galaxy Quest.” Plus, the complete series of “Gilmore Girls” arrives. Other offerings on October 1 include David Cronenberg’s “Shivers,” as well as a remake of “Phantom of the Opera” starring Robert “Freddy Krueger” Englund, just in time for the month of Halloween.
