More details have been posted regarding the motion capture process of the upcoming cross-generation console game, “WWE 2K15.” According to a report from Gerweck on June 26, the development teams are currently recording several performers at a studio that has been set up in San Francisco. The names include a famous personality along with a surprise name.
The first notable name is Paul Heyman, who is currently working as a manager. He teamed up with Cesaro, who was also motion captured, on the Monday Night Raw episode following the Wrestlemania XXX pay-per-view event. The same manager also worked with Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, Curtis Axel and Ryback in the past. You can find a photo of Paul Heyman near the top of this article (courtesy of the “WWE Games” Twitter page).
Another individual that was asked to participate in motion capture for “WWE 2K15” is Harry Smith, who also goes by the aliases of Davey Boy Smith, Jr., David Hart Smith and DH Smith. The wrestler, who is best known as the son of the British Bulldog, was part of the main roster of the WWE until 2011. Although he hasn’t appeared with the company for three years, Harry Smith surprisingly decided to work with the upcoming game.
However, being motion captured does not necessarily mean that Harry Smith will be added in “WWE 2K15.” The same report noted that the development teams typically use former wrestlers to record movements. This may be due to the active roster being constantly on the road and performing in one city after another.
Along for the aforesaid characters, 2K Games previously announced that Bray Wyatt, Hulk Hogan, John Cean and Roman Reigns will be added to the “WWE 2K15” roster. More playable characters should be announced in the coming months with a full reveal potentially being planned near the end of Aug. A majority of the active roster should end up being added to video game, which is coming out on Oct. 28 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
