Last week I finished 11-4 which put me at 68-38 for the year or a 64.1% correct pick percentage. As I tend to do I compare my results to the Expert NFL Picks over at ESPN and my production for last week was as good or better than 11 out of 13 experts for the week.
Week eight of the NFL season schedule features 15 games with San Fransisco and the N.Y. Giants having a bye week.
Week Eight NFL Predictions:
San Diego at Denver- Broncos
Denver is #1 in the league in points per game and Manning now holds the career touchdown record. I expect him to add a few more to the list at home.
Detroit at Atlanta- Lions
The Lions are allowing a league best 14.9 pts per game and the Falcons are allowing 28.4 per game. The Falcons can score but they cannot stop anyone.
St. Louis at Kansas City- Chiefs
The Rams stunned the Seahawks this past weekend but the Chiefs did the same to the Chargers.I look for KC to continue the momentum at home.
Houston at Tennessee- Texans
The Titans struggle to score points (27th in the league in PPG) and they struggle to stop anyone (allowing 24.6 PPG), the Texans have some play makers and they make enough plays to win after a disappointing loss on Monday night.
Minnesota at Tampa Bay- Buccaneers
Both teams are pretty bad at this point, the Vikings will be starting a rookie QB, the Bucs should win this at home.
Seattle at Carolina- Seahawks
Even though the Seahawks seem to be having a tough year so far they are talented enough on both sides of the ball to beat anyone. Russell Wilson has scored 13 TD’s so far this year (10 passing 3 rushing) and he should have more opportunities against the Panthers this weekend.
Baltimore at Cincinnati- Ravens
The Bengals have lost their mojo and last weekend they could not do anything with the football. The Ravens are playing well and should put up some big numbers this week.
Miami at Jacksonville- Dolphins
The Dolphins defensive line has 17 sacks through six games so far this season. They are getting pressure on the quarterback and the Phins should continue that trend this week against the Jaguars who finally got their 1st win last week.
Chicago at New England- Bears
The Patriots are one of the worst in the league in stopping the run allowing 4.4 yards per carry and the Bears can run the ball. If they give the ball to Forte enough they should win the game.
Buffalo at NY Jets- Bills
Jets have all kinds of problems on both sides of the ball, even after playing well against the Patriots I expect them to fall to the Bills who have a very stout defense.
Philadelphia at Arizona- Cardinals
The Cardinals are #1 against the run and can also run the ball themselves. They take this one at home.
Oakland at Cleveland_ Browns
Cleveland bounces back from the disappointing loss in Jacksonville against the rookie QB at home.
Indianapolis at Pittsburgh- Colts
The Colts average 452 yards per game so far in 2014,there is no reason to believe the Steelers will be the team to slow them down.
Green Bay at New Orleans- Packers
Rodgers has 18 TD’s against 2 INT’s and the Saints are having issues on defense. This could be a shootout as the Saints are getting close to desperation mode.
Washington at Dallas- Cowboys
DeMarco Murray just broke a record (most 100 yard games to start a season) and the Cowboys have the #1 rushing offense in the league. Romo has a slew of weapons at his disposal, this one could get ugly.
