Northeast Ohio is one of the premier winemaking and grape-producing regions in the country with the Geneva area (located along the shores of Lake Erie) being home to more than 1500 acres of growing grapes.
Clevelanders get the opportunity to celebrate the harvesting of the local grapes and honor the area’s wine-producing and grape-growing industries at the 51st annual Grape Jamboree being held in Geneva on Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28. Geneva is approximately 50 miles east of Cleveland.
Geneva Grape Jamboree Taking place on Geneva’s Main Street, visitors to the Jamboree will be able to sample fresh grape juice in addition to wine and other grape products. Serving wines from Geneva area wineries, the wine tasting will be located at the Geneva Community Center at 72 W. Main St. from 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Cost for the wine tasting is $10 and you will receive a souvenir tasting glass (while supplies last).
