*Free October Festival for children with autism will be offered by the organization Face Autism from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Children with autism are often overwhelmed by crowds, noise, and lights that are too bright. The date is to be determined. This is a sensory-friendly festival with a hay ride, train ride, face painting, arts and crafts, and games. Pumpkins will also be featured at the festival. The October Festival for children with autism will be held at Brown’s Grove Farm Market at 12255 US Hwy 301 in the neighboring community of Parrish. *The Fruitville Grove 26th annual Pumpkin Festival will be offered every Saturday and Sunday in October. Admission is free for this family-friendly October happening. Hayrides, great food, and crafts are all part of this annual pumpkin festival. Pumpkin painting will definitely appeal to the children. *Downtown Sarasota Annual Art and Craft Festival on October 4th and 5th celebrates the beautiful downtown area of the community. *The Hunsader Farms Pumpkin Festival begins on October 11th. The corn maze is a popular activity at this annual festival. Tourists and residents come from all over the country to enjoy this renowned activity. The festival features over 100 craft booths. Live shows and the scarecrow displays are always fun for the children. The festival is held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m..
