All things seem to be coming together now in perfect alignment, when it comes to the Long Term Cease Fire Agreement between Israel and the Palestinians. Now that the war has ended, the world is turning its attention to the horrible aftermath of the destruction in Gaza. Along with the global rebuilding effort, comes a renewed sense of hope for a lasting peace within the region.
The war in the Middle East between the Palestinians and Israel has been raging off and on since World War 2, but there has never been a time that peace was more possible than it is now. Throughout the years, many world leaders, including several US presidents from the past, had tried to forge peace between these two groups of people. But for the first time in history, significant progress is being made. And for the first time, nations from around the world are getting involved to help seal the deal in an effort to foster world peace. There is compiling evidence that the month of October could be the time for this peace agreement to finally come to pass.
On October 1st, Obama will meet with Netanyahu at the White House to discuss details about the Long Term Cease Fire Agreement and to hear Israel’s side on things. Later in the week however, Obama will hold several discussions at the UN between Netanyahu and Abbas, hoping to come up with a sustainable agreement.
Then on October 12th, Cairo, Egypt will be hosting a Gaza Donor Conference. During the meeting, The United Nations and the Palestinian Government will call on international donors to donate $550 million to rebuild Gaza, and to help thousands of people who were affected by the war. Several countries are already stepping up to pledge millions in aid, such as Saudi Arabia and France.
Next on October 13th, the United Kingdom will vote to recognize Palestine as a State. The purpose of the vote is to “recognize the state of Palestine, alongside the state of Israel.” This vote is needed in the Parliament before any future business may be conducted between the UK and the so called Palestinian State.
Sometime around October 14th, Abbas will once again present his plan of ridding Gaza and the West Bank of Israeli presence, to the UN Security Council in which Obama will be residing as chairman. At that time Obama will decide if the issue will go up for a vote, to be made into international law.
Around the end of October, the peace talks will resume in Cairo and this time a lot of help and effort from nations around world will be brought to the table. Before this Cairo meeting, there will be ongoing negotiations with Abbas and Netanyahu, involving Obama and Egypt. And other nations will offer to help by providing financial support that could only be done through a lasting agreement on peace. But what does God say about all this?
In the book of Joel, chapter 3, vs 2, God says this: “I will gather all nations and bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations and parted my land.”
And this is what God says about the peace agreement found in 1 Thessalonians 5:3. “For when they shall say peace and safety; then sudden destruction shall come upon them, as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape. “
The Long Term Cease Fire Agreement also known as the Peace Agreement, is a proposal to divide the land of Israel, giving part of it as a State for the Palestinian people to live beside the Jewish people in peace and harmony. As mentioned before, when this peace agreement is signed, sudden destruction shall come upon the whole world as judgment from God for dividing the land.
This judgment appears to currently be in the works, as it will most likely be in the form of a world war, which will cause destruction everywhere. The Bible also confirms this through the opening of the seven seals in the book of Revelation. The first seal, the white horse, is the Antichrist and the signing of the peace agreement, while the second seal, the red horse, takes peace from the earth bringing war and destruction. This devastating war, the judgment from God, has already begun through the works and the doings of ISIS, who by spreading terror around the globe, is causing all nations of the world to go to war against them.
If this judgment from God has already begun, then how much longer will it be before the peace agreement is actually signed and the rapture of the church takes place? How much longer before the sudden destruction also known as the hour of tribulation, begins?
During the month of October, all the nations from around the world are getting involved and putting in a tremendous effort in a two state solution to bring peace to the Middle East. All signs are indicating that the peace agreement will be signed very soon!
But before all this will happen, and before the destruction will be implemented full force, Jesus will come and get his people to save them from the hour of trial that is soon to come upon the entire earth! But he did promised to save all those who have asked for forgiveness and have turned from their sins.
The signs are all here and the hour is late, Jesus will be coming soon to get his people. So ask for forgiveness and turn from your sins so you don’t get left behind! Insure your place in eternity now by asking Jesus into your heart today!
