The Dallas Zoo is not only the biggest zoo in Texas but it also offers some fascinating activities to boot. The Dallas Zoo now regularly offers a new experience for zoo-goers, the photo safari.
Half-day, full day, and private photo safari options are all given several times a year, allowing visitors a more personal experience with the animals. Open to both novice and professional photographers, the photo safaris add a new element to the standard zoo visit. All of these options are also great for taking the perfect photo to compete in the Fur, Feathers and Scales Photo Contest.
Participants are encouraged to find new light, new angles, and new subjects they had not previously explored. The full day safari costs $150 for non-members and lasts from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The half day safari costs $55 for non-members, and the overnight safari goes for $250 for non-members. Members receive additional discounts for this unique, off-the-beaten-path experience.
Take a photo safari and a new perspective on the Dallas Zoo.
