Listed below is the Polk County arrest report for Tuesday July 1, 2014. The report includes a complete list of arrests, information regarding prior arrests, bonding information and available inmate photos. Unless specified otherwise, all information is obtained from the Sheriff’s Office located in the county of the arrest.
The arrest reports within this list do not reflect the actual guilt or innocence of the individual or individuals listed. All parties are presumed innocent until they are proven guilty in a court of law. Not every arrest or charge leads to a conviction. A conviction or an acquittal will be determined by the court system.
The following individuals were arrested and charged with the violations listed below. Click on the embedded links within each list to view the complete prior arrests report. Links to arrests prior to 2009 will not be included.
Thomas Grover Harrell, 48, of Temple was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended. Harrell remains in custody at the time of this publication. A $1,610 property bond has been set.
Phillip Howard Jackson, 35, of Cedartown was arrested and charged with DUI, failure to maintain lane, driving in median and driving on the wrong side of the road. Jackson was released the same day after posting property bonds totaling $2,970.
Michael Glenn Mansfield, 48, of Austin, TX is currently housed at the Polk County jail for U.S. Marshals.
Nicholas Arthur North, 35, of Carrollton was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license, violation of DPS transportation rules and no tag. North was released the same day after posting property bonds totaling $1,950
Ochoa Ramirez, 40, of Rome was arrested and charged with driving while unlicensed and a bond drop. Ramirez was released the same day after posting property bonds totaling $2,820.
Kendric Lamont Sewell, 30, of Cedartown was arrested on a felony warrant for probation violation. Sewell remains in custody at the time of this publication. See also (4/3/2013)
Robert James Shoemaker, 35, of Buchanan was arrested and charged with driving while unlicensed and failure to maintain lane. Shoemaker was released the same day after posting property bonds totaling $1,762. See also (1/10/2013)
Thomas Roosevelt Whatley, 72, of Cedartown was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and simple battery. Whatley remains in custody at the time of this publication. Two property bonds totaling $6,100 have been set. See also (3/28/2014)
Leronn Allen Whiters, 44, of Rockmart was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in superior court. Whiters remains in custody at the time of this publication.
Mark Jason Williams, 40, of Rockmart was arrested and charged with battery and terroristic threats and acts. Williams was released on 7/4 after posting property bonds totaling $5,100. See also (8/10/2010)
