Princess Theodora Sayn-Wittgenstein has a drunken rant she made at an event recently making big news this weekend. The German princess was attending an Oktoberfest party at St. Andrews College in Scotland when her behavior ending up being a little out of hand. The princess began to strip off her clothes, and she started ranting about Muslims. Canada Journal reported on her court appearance on June 28.
Princess Theodora Sayn-Wittgenstein appeared in court with her father Prince Ludwig. The princess currently lives in Germany, but she listed a London address located in the Chelsea area on her court documents. Sayn-Wittgenstein attended St. Andrews College at one time, and the school has their Oktoberfest party every March. She attended the festivities earlier this year, and she had a bit too much too drink apparently. She began to strip off her clothes, and then she tried to climb a fence.
One person tried to get her to put her clothes back on, and others tried to get her to the first aid tent at the event. One of the workers was Farah Hussein. It was reported that she told the Hussein the following: “I was doing my nails this morning. I wondered how many Muslims I could kill.” After that statement, she went on to rant against Muslims, and Hussein reportedly ran off in tears. She not only ranted about Muslims, but she attacked one medical worker and a security guard. She kicked the one and head-butted the other.
Sayn-Wittgenstein plead guilty to three charges. Two of the charges were for the attacks on the medical worker and security guard. The third charge was for disturbing the peace aggravated by religious prejudice. That charge is for the Muslim rant. For the charges, she will have to pay an amount that is equal to $1,700 U.S. dollars. Douglas Williams was her attorney for this court case, and he did speak out about her behavior. He said the following to try to excuse her actions, according to News Oxy:
“She has a degree in international relations and has lived in Jordan, immersing herself in Middle Eastern culture.”
Williams also revealed that Sayn-Wittgenstein has a Thyroid condition that might explain her sudden outburst at the event. He called her behavior “completely out of character.” The arrest and the court case has also “brought shame to her and her family.” At the time of her arrest, she was violent, she had to be put in leg restraints. This does make it sound like there was more to this outburst than a few too many drinks.Sheriff Mark Stewart QC said the following when he fined the German Princess, according to Huffington Post UK:
“The impression one gets is of disorderly and violent conduct occasioned by far too much drink for someone who was unable to properly deal with that level of intake. I deal with you as I would anyone who behaves in this way. These comments you made are unacceptable.”
Princess Theodora Sayn-Wittgenstein is currently 27 years old. She graduated from St. Andrews College back in 2011, and she then returned home to Germany. She currently works for her father’s alternative energy company. During her court appearance, she tried to hide under a brunette wig as she arrived at Dundee Sheriff Court. However, her arrival was not missed by anyone.
It really is quite surprising that the German princess acted in this manner. This outing was meant to be a fun night for her with old friends, and it turned into something quite different. Her violent outburst almost sounds like something one would see out of a person on drugs, but there was no mention of drugs in any of the reports on this case. Now that the court case is over, perhaps the German princess can move on with her life. However, her rant could end up being remembered for quite some time.
