Tickets are still available for Gourmet Grazing on the Green 2014
The 11th Annual Gourmet Grazing on the Green will be held once again at the picturesque Aptos Village Park, Aptos. This annual event celebrates the beginning of the fall season by featuring local restaurants and chefs, specialty gourmet food items, and — of course — local wineries and craft beers.
This annual event is one of the places in Santa Cruz County to “see and be seen.” It’s always sold out in advance. This year, as of this writing, tickets are still available online by going to the Santa Cruz Cancer Benefit Group’s web site.
Tickets include admission to the event, a complementary limited edition wine glass. You have a plethora of choices of gourmet delights from vendors in and around the Santa Cruz area. Local wineries pour some of their award winning wines and recent releases during this all inclusive event.
Activities take place throughout the day
In addition to the gourmet food and wines, there’s always local talent — bands playing local favorites that are sure to brighten the day. Plus, there’s a lively interactive silent auction. There’s always someone nearby who can tell you about the unique gift baskets and fabulous bottles of wine — some are rare, and some are in limited winery release.
There are often trips and luxury accommodations that are donated to the Santa Cruz Cancer Benefit Group. Many of these adventures often sell at the auction for well under the book rate.
All proceeds go to the Santa Cruz Cancer Benefit Group
No matter how you spend the day, either wandering the lovely grounds, meeting up with friends and making new friends, dancing to the music, or sipping wine and grazing, one is always sure to find new and long-standing community food and wine treasures. They are all gathered in one place for an afternoon of pleasure.
All of the proceeds from the event go to fight cancer through research, community outreach programs and by supporting locally affiliated cancer-focused charities.
