The Life is Beautiful Festival concluded this past weekend with over 90, 000 in attendance for three days of culinary, art, learning and of course, music in Downtown Las Vegas. This eventful weekend included six stages in total – 4 stages for a diverse range of music from Baauer to Lionel Richie to The Dancetronaunts ; in addition to one stage for both culinary and learning.
Keep in mind, this is only the festival’s second year and was wildly successful. Kanye West, Foo Fighters, OutKast, Lionel Richie and Pussy Riot was the festival highlights and most anticipated acts.
In addition, there were many interactive sponsors on board to keep attendees engaged, such as: Flash Tattoos, whom provided complimentary jewelry-like tattoos to attendees; Bacardi, allowed guests to blend their own drink powered by a pimped out Bacardi bicycle with a blender on top, and even Cafe Bustelo, provided attendees a choice of cold or hot liquid energy (coffee).
“We’ve expanded this year in every way possible, but among the most meaningful to our team was the heightened integration of three of our four core pillars: food, art and learning…” – festival founder Rehan Choudhry.
Choudhry expressed his main concern being that the music lineup taking away from the true mission of the festival – which is to inspire and to celebrate life. This was accomplished with speakers, such as: Lizzie Valesquez, Marie Forleo, and Pussy Riot among many others. In addition, the many murals and art projects surrounding the festival grounds proved to be popular among the attendees, always occupied with someone either posing in front or taking a infamous selfie.
One of the most important aspects of the festival, the food, gave attendees quite a variety in taste and budget. One notable vendor, Aloha Kitchen, a Vegas based thai-food spot was a favorite among attendees with it’s menu of BBQ sliders and chicken sticks, egg rolls and more. Last, but not least, was the many sessions from various well known chefs, as well as, numerous other activities!
