Abby the chocolate Labrador retriever went missing on July 26 while her owner was deployed overseas – and she hasn’t been seen since. Now a reward is being offered for her safe return – and her owner, Zachery King, hopes that his beloved dog returns before he comes home from his deployment in Oct.
“I was watching my friend Zachery’s two dogs, Abby and Cubby, while he’s away on deployment overseas,” explained Zachery’s friend, Jordan Portch. “He’ll be returning home in October and he’s aware of the situation, but I’d really like to have Abby back before he returns.”
Abby dug a hole out of Portch’s Everett, Washington yard on July 26 and has been missing ever since. Despite Portch’s attempts to relocate the dog, no one has reported anything.
This sweet dog is a beloved family member who is very much missed. “Zach invested a great deal of money in her helping her to survive Parvo as a puppy and again complications when she was spayed,” Portch explained.
Abby is a one and a half year old chocolate Labrador retriever. She’s microchiped with current information and she has a pink collar with tags. While the phone number on her tags is incorrect, the person who now has that number has been contacted and is aware.
“Over 300 flyers have been posted in town and every nearby park, dog park, vet, and pet store,” explained Portch. “She’s very friendly and likely would have approached someone when she got out. We’ve been unable to locate her in the last month and I am afraid someone may have her.”
Portch added: “Abby is greatly missed by everyone, especially Cubby, as they grew up together as puppies.”
