Rob Kardashian is sick and tired of being fat and unhealthy and has embarked on an ambitious diet and workout routine to lose more than 50 pounds, Celebrity Health & Fitness reported.
“He hates being big, but he gained all that weight from being depressed,” a source told E! “He wants to lose over 50 pounds. He’s also planning to attend more events and look into new business ventures. He’s taking it slow [and] is feeling great.”
Kardashian has been following a junk food-free diet and has begun working out with big sister, Khloe, with whom he is now living. On recent episodes of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” Khloe has repeatedly expressed concern over Rob’s weight gain and his growing depression.
“Rob has deeper issues than just weight,” said Khloe, who said her divorce from NBA star Lamar Odom had hit Rob especially hard because he and Odom were close friends for years.
Rob’s recent dramatic weight gain (rumored to be between 70 and 100 pounds) has been an ongoing source of concern for the entire Kardashian family, who is not only worried about his physical health, but his emotional welfare.
Rob’s sisters remarked that his weight problems have made him extremely reclusive. Rob skipped sister Kim’s lavish May 24 wedding at the last minute. Rob has since skipped numerous family outings and vacations and is rarely seen on the latest season of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
The 5-foot-10 Rob, who reportedly weighs more than 260 pounds, has made no secret of his struggle to slim down. Rob’s weight has made numerous headlines, as reports surfaced that he was considering stomach-stapling surgery or going to fat camp.

Rob’s weight has been a running theme on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” for the past three years. A recent doctor’s visit revealed Rob was in danger of developing diabetes and kidney problems.
His mother, Kris Jenner, recently revealed she cries herself to sleep every night worrying about Rob’s physical and psychological health. However, Rob may soon be turning the corner, as his entire family is now supporting him in his weight loss efforts. The once athletic Rob previously had a rippling physique, and can there again, they said.
Meanwhile, sister Kim Kardashian recently lost seven pounds with a low carb ketogenic style diet, rigorous workouts and “corset waist training,” which involves wearing a corset for extended periods of time to make it smaller. Kim reportedly did waist training in the weeks leading up to her May 24 wedding to regain her signature hourglass figure, as Examiner has reported.
After giving birth to daughter North in June 2013, Kim lost 56 pounds in six months by following a low-carb, high-fat Atkins diet that limited her daily carb intake to less than 60 grams. Focusing on healthy fats and limiting carbs promotes rapid weight loss by forcing the body to burn fat for fuel, said ketogenic diet expert Dr. Eric Westman, co-author of Keto Clarity.
