A Texas father who spent 12 years looking for his little girl will finally be able to see her again after she was located in Mexico on Tuesday.
Sabrina Allen was only 4-years-old, when her mother, Dara Marie Llorens, 44, of Austin disappeared with her in 2002 after not returning her from a custody visit on April 21, 2002.
Authorities tracked Dara and Sabrina to Mexico in 2002, but when they got there, the pair had moved on. Greg Allen, Sabrina’s father continued to search for his little girl and even got very close to finding her a few years back, but Dara disappeared again with Sabrina. Then last month a tip led to a town southeast of Mexico City, and an undercover team, found Sabrina and Dara living in a small apartment, reports My Fox Austin.
Philip Klein, one of the member’s of the rescue team said that on the way home he learned details about what Sabrina had gone through, which included parental alienation, forced to hide and not even being let to go to school. Dara went by 10 different aliases and worked in various jobs during the last 12 years.
Allen said hiring Philip Klein as a private investigator and setting up a website for tips allowed him to never give up hope, reports ABC News.
Two pending Travis County court orders have awarded sole custody of Sabrina to Greg, when she returns.
Greg was asked what he would do when he see his daughter and he said, “I’m going to ask her if I can giver her a hug.”
