“Sailor Moon Crystal Act 8 – Minako – Sailor V” continues off where the previous episode ended, it’s a direct continuation where Sailor V makes her first appearance to the other Sailor Guardians. The four Sailor Guardians, Luna, and even Queen Beryl are shocked by her appearance. Sailor V”s cat, Artemis, pretty much tells the Sailor Guardians that they should respect her, because she IS Princess Serenity. Sailor Moon looks up at Sailor V and gazes into her eyes, and she’s shocked to see her in person, but she’s excited at the same time, and she had a feeling that Sailor V is the long-lost princess that they’ve been looking for. At this very moment, Sailor Moon’s tiara changes shape. With all that’s been going on, Tuxedo Mask takes this time to run away, mainly because he wasn’t able to protect Sailor Moon.
Sailor V talks to the Sailor Guardians for a bit, and then Sailor V transforms into her secret identity, and on Earth her name is Minako Aino. From here, the five Sailor Guardians head to the command center where Luna awaits them. Sailor V explains a lot to the other girls, about the evil power that’s been set free, about the Legendary Silver Crystal, the Dark Kingdom, The Moon Kingdom, Silver Millenium, basically everything they need to know about their mission. The four Sailor Guardians are willing to fight by her side, no matter how powerful the enemy is. Later on, outside of the arcade, the girls tell Minako that they’ll see her later, and Minako walks away, going in her own separate direction. Minako tells Artemis about her important mission that only she can complete by herself, but he doesn’t want her to do this on her own, especially since they revealed themselves to the other Sailor Guardians.
The next morning, Usagi and Luna are walking, and they see Mamoru sitting on a park bench, reading books. Mamoru apologizes to Usagi for not protecting her, and he’s ashamed to look her in the face. But he feels like destiny made them bump into each other again. Luna has to walk away, because she’s not happy with Usagi talking to Mamoru, and she wonders if it’s a good thing for Usagi to fall in love with Mamoru. Artemis shows up and tells Luna of all the good things she’s done for the Sailor Guardians, and to reduce some of the burden, they sealed part of her memory as well. But the time has come for Luna to know everything. In the Dark Kingdom, Queen Beryl is kneeling before Queen Metalia (Metaria), as she wants her to bring forth the Legendary Silver Crystal, so Kunzite offers himself to Queen Beryl for this mission. Kunzite is the strongest and most loyal of the Shitennou, (the “Four Kings of Dark Kingdom”), so Queen Beryl expects great things from him.
The final, climactic scene is so action-packed, so fun and exciting to see, it can’t even be explained into words here, it’s something that has to be seen and heard. Also, Sailor Moon gains the courage to kiss Tuxedo Mask, which he is shocked about, but this enables him to finally protect her. Finally, of all the things that could have happened next…the episode ends. This is one of those episodes that goes by extremely quick, by the time the mid-episode “frames” come on, viewers will be saying, “Already?!” Plus, the cliffhanger at the end makes the viewer want to shout, “It can’t end this way!” So far, the first seven episodes have been great, but this one is perfect. Every bit about this story was just flawless, it’s not hard for me to say that this is a 5 out of 5 episode, the “Wow” factor is here from beginning to end.
