Our Lord Jesus Christ loves us all so much and would do anything for us, as long as we come to Him for it. There is nothing our Lord cannot do and it is only through Jesus that anything is possible. With man, all is impossible, but it is only through our precious Lord and Savior, that all mountains can move, and all storms can be calmed. It is the job of the flock to relay such needs and wants to our Lord. Sometimes we will not receive that which we ask at the time we want it. However, in time, according the Will of the Father, we shall receive our wants and needs.
In Matthew 7:7-11, our Lord Jesus says, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh, findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him”‘
Jesus begins to explicate how important it is to pray to Him. Essentially, prayer can be a strong tool between man and God. It allows that line of communication to be opened to all of us sinners. We give very little credit or appreciation to the gift of prayer. If our Lord wanted to, He could close that sacred line of communication. Nevertheless, He does not.
Prayer is something we tend to squander and not acknowledge its sanctity. Even as sinful as we are, God allows us the chance to ask for the things we want and need. This is not something to take lightly. If we search for something, our Lord allows us to find it. Jesus compares His giving nature to us to that of a parent to his child. Just as a father will give his son something he wants, Jesus does the same for us lowly sinners. Can you imagine how amazing that is? Jesus loves us more than we can fully fathom.
Remember that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has the ability to do anything. even the things that may seem impossible, are not with our Lord. It could be something as simple as working towards a new promotion at work, or perhaps there is someone whose heart longs for and wants to one day marry, our Lord can do it. The only thing Jesus asks is that we go to Him!
Do not wait for the thing you want to happen or arrogantly presume you can do it yourself. There is nothing we can do without the help of our Lord Jesus. This is a common misconception by some people. Some of us truly believe that we can do things all on our own, without anyone’s help. This is an incorrect notion and must not be embedded in anyone’s mind. For it is only through the Lord Jesus that anyone has a present or future.
Ensure the frequency of prayer is increased hundredfold. Think less about what you want or need. Consider the Will of God and ask that He give you the life He intends for you. Our lives relay on the Will of our Heavenly Father. Keep that in mind during your next prayer. Thank our Lord Jesus for all He has done and all He continues to do for you in life. Forget not to thank our Lord every chance you have.
