There will be 13 SHARK WEEK shows and a live talk show each night gives this year’s SHARK WEEK starting August 10.
The late-night live talk show, Shark After Dark, will return. Host Josh Wolf will lead viewers through an hour-long celebration of all things shark-related, including celebrity guests and shark experts. The talk show will give viewers the opportunity to interact live on-air every night with tweets and questions to celebrity guests. There is also Sharkageddon – surf legend Kala Alexande looks at Hawaiian shark attacks, Lair of the Mega Shark – shark experts Jeff Kerr and Andy Casagrande in New Zealand, Zombie Sharks – Eli Martinez tries to induce underwater immobility on Great White, Alien Sharks: Return to the Abyss – Paul Clerkin in the depths of Indian Ocean, Monster Hammerhead – looking for legendary hammerhead shark off Florida, Spawn of Jaws 2: The Birth – Dr. Michael Domeie tries to capture the birth of a great white, Great White Matrix – investigating a series of bizarre shark attack in Australia, Air Jaws: Fins of Fury – tracking down the missing “mega-shark” named Colossus, Jaws Strikes Back – filming hunting behavior of great white, I Escaped Jaws 2 – attack stories told from the perspective of the survivor, Shark of Darkness: Submarine Returns – explores the legend of “Submarine” off South Africa and Megalodon: The New Evidence – investigates what killed everyone on a fishing vessel off South Africa.

Dunkin Donuts is also helping to celebrate Shark Week. people are invited to “Take a Bite, Take a Pic.” Anyone who shares a selfie taking a bite out of their favorite breakfast item on Twitter or Instagram using the special hashtag #DDSharkWeek is eligible to win prizes including a $100 Dunkin’ Donuts Card and a Shark Week Prize Pack. Participants may also be featured on Discovery Channel’s “Shark After Dark,” as each night host Josh Wolf will encourage viewers to visit the special website SharkWeek.com/Dunkin to vote for the “Dunkin’ Bite of the Nite.” Winners will be announced and their photos revealed on the show. And more – Dunkin’ Donuts and Discovery Channel are also offering their fans an interactive TV experience for SHARK WEEK, designed and developed by Dunkin’ Donuts’ agency of record Hill Holiday, on the Xbox One video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Fans who are watching SHARK WEEK through their Xbox One can “snap” their Internet Explorer browser window to the edge of their TV screen that will provide a live feed of #SharkWeek social content, interactive quizzes, real time polls, and more while they continue to watch live programming on Discovery.
As for food – The Shark Bite Donut features a yeast ring donut topped with white and red icing designed to resemble a life preserver. It is available at select or participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide while supplies last beginning August 4.
Although not a part of Shark Week, Syfy Channel has some shark movies for us. Debuting on July 30 at 9/8c is Sharknado 2: The Second One. To remember this summer go to their shop and pick up an Sharknado I Survived 2014 T-Shirt. All day on July 30 there are shark movies as well as another shark marathon on August 2. There are such hits as: Mega Shark Vs. Mecha Shark, Dinoshark, Sharktopus and of course Sharknado and Sharknado2. Sharks return again at the very end of August.
