Showtime’s event series ‘Eat See Hear’ continues through September 13, 2014

Eat See Hear, a summer outdoor food, music and movie event series, presented by Showtime features an array of great movies, music and food trucks every Saturday night through September 13, 2014. Now in its third season, Eat See Hear will present “Django Unchained” on Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (PDT) at the Autry National Center – Griffith Park, in Los Angeles, CA. The movie is Rated R. Tonight’s band is Liphemra. The event is dog-friendly and food trucks such as The Chili Philosopher, The Lobos Truck, Tokyo Doggie Style, Sista Soul Food, The Urban Oven, Rice Balls of Fire, Sweet E’s, Coolhaus, and Brasil Kiss serve a variety of foods. “Dirty Dancing,” (rated PG13) the 1987 coming-of-age film will be presented on September 6, 2014 in Will Rogers State Historic Park in Pacific Palisades, CA from 5:30 to 11:00 p.m. (PDT) Please enter through the main park entrance on Sunset Blvd. Live music prior to the movie screening and snacks from food trucks such as The Grilled Cheese Truck add to the fun. Dogs are welcome and since this is a very special event in conjunction with Best Friends Animal Society Los Angeles’ Strut Your Mutt charity walk event, please register & receive a special Eat See Hear promo code with your registration. Please note the registration/entry time for the walk is 2:00 p.m. PDT. The Strut Your Mutt event begins at 5:00 p.m. PDT. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., music from a band to be decided is at 7:00 and the movie starts at 8:30 p.m. (PDT).

The “Kickstarter Film Fest” will happen on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Autry National Center – Griffith Park, in Los Angeles, CA. Doors open at 6pm with exhibits on view in Creators Village from 6-8pm. (PDT) The films begin at 8 p.m. and Performance at 9:15 p.m. The Kickstarter Film Fest features excerpts from animations, short films, documentaries, and more, all funded on Kickstarter. Come early! Before the screening at sundown, LA-based creators such as: ACTON R RocketSkates; Buero Skate Boards; Black Rock Observatory; Carpool DeVille; Dylan Kendall; FlipBooKit – Mechanical Flipbook Art and Kit; Ink+Smog Editions; Los Angeles Makerspace; MELON Headband; Tabletop Moviemaking Studio; We; Anything; Build; will show off their latest works and wares.
Music by John Vanderslice; food and drink vendors include Max City BBQ, Pacific Pickle Works, Peddler’s Creamery, Popcorn by Uncle Pops, Raw Pops, Secret Squirrel Limited Edition Cold Brew Coffee & Growler, The Reuben Truck, Three Jerks Jerky. Admission is FREE and is dog-friendly.

The series concludes with “Goonies” (Rated PG) which will be presented September 13, 2014 at Centennial Square at Pasadena City Hall, Pasadena, CA. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., Music at 7:00 p.m. and Movie at 8:30 p.m. (PDT) Touch Vinyl presents music by The Janks. Food Trucks include Jogasaki, Pie N Burger, Cousins Maine Lobster, India Jones, Romolos, Border Grill, Son of a Bun, Hungry Nomad, Rushed Art, Coolhaus, and Brasil Kiss. Dogs are welcome.
