After the October 28, 2014 episode of the “Sons of Anarchy” on FX, last night, there are only five shows remaining in the “Final Ride” of SAMCRO. Kurt Sutter is obviously dragging everything out to the last possible moment, and continues to throw new problems at Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam).
In last week’s episode, Teller’s young son, Abel, overheard Grandma Gemma talking about killing his mother, while she was holding his baby brother Thomas. Abel may not understand all that he overheard, but it is causing him to exhibit some very violent behavior, both at home and at school.
Able got into trouble at school and had to be picked up. Apparently he bashed another child in the head with his lunchbox and caused a gash in the child’s head. Gemma sat him down for a discussion and Able told her it was an accident. Gemma asked him if he understood what an accident was. Abel gazed at her with a blank look and asked: “Do you?”
This discussion was right after Gemma, Able and Wendy had returned home to find that someone had violently killed Gemma’s birds and hid them in her bed. She also found the words “No son is safe” written on Thomas’ bedroom wall in crayon. Did someone break in and do this or is Kurt Sutter sending an even creepier message?
Will young Abel follow in his father’s footsteps and become even more violent as he grows up? When Jax confronted another club member about being a rat, the club member, who was president of another chapter, accused Jax of being everything Jax’s father, John Teller, had come to hate about the club.
He even alluded that Jax’s father was not hit head on by a semi all those years ago, but instead crashed his bike into the rock wall on purpose. Jax was so enraged he hit the guy and then shot him, right in front of other club members and then insisted it was self-defense. Is Jax out of control or just desperate to save the club and family he loves?
Will all this violence affect his young sons? Will Abel talk to his Dad about what he heard Grandma Gemma say? What exactly has Kurt Sutter got in store for viewers? Clips during commercial break let viewers see Jax and Gemma talking about John Teller and how the club used to be. Is Sutter giving us a lead in to the new series he is planning?
One thing is for sure, the last five episodes of the “Sons of Anarchy” Final Ride, will either be packed full of a lot of answered questions, or will leave the viewer’s upset because nothing got answered. Sutter is well known for twists and turns. What exactly does he have planned?
Tune in to FX, at 9 p.m. CST, for the next five Tuesday nights to see if Sutter gives viewers what they want, or leaves them hanging. Either way, the “Final Ride” has got to be explosive. To find out what viewers are saying, join the “Sons of Anarchy” Facebook page.
