South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center presents An Evening of Broadway Songs and the Carbonell Award winners on Saturday, October 25 at 7:30pm and 9:30pm as part of the Center’s Cabaret Series. Caryl Fantel, Musical Director for the annual Carbonell Award ceremonies at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts serves as Music Director for An Evening of Broadway Songs. The iconic evening features Florida’s top talents; Margot Moreland, winner of four Carbonells for her acting in Ruthless, Tomfoolery, Heartbeats and Annie. Three-time Carbonell Award winner Reggie Whitehead also seen in Ron Hutchins “Once in a Life Time, from Harlem To Hollywood – The Sammy Davis Jr. Musical”, The Full Monty and Smokey Joe’s Café is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Angie Radosh has long been a Florida favorite, who won Carbonells in acting for Exit The King, Stuff, and Cabaret. The Cabaret Series takes place in the intimate South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center’s Black Box Theater. The intimate space seats up to 130 people so book your seats now. The series includes jazz, string groups, flamenco, comedy, burlesque, jazz, Broadway show tunes and soulful singers. The lounge setting has table seating, food, drinks and a relaxed atmosphere.
