Taylor Swift is unstoppable to say the least. With seven Grammy wins to her name, the best-selling digital artist of all time is currently “shaking off” her critics in her newest upbeat tune. The 24-year-old superstar is everywhere we look, and “Swifties” dream of the day they might actually get a chance to hang out with their favorite songstress. Thanks to a Subway and Diet Coke partnership which was announced on Fri. Sept. 26, this dream will become a reality for some.
Along with Swift and Diet Coke, Subway, the world’s largest restaurant chain, has developed #MeetTaylor, a widespread campaign which will give 31 fans a chance to win paid trips to meet Swift on her 2015 concert tour. There are two ways to enter: First, fans can enter their game code from the limited edition Swift-branded 30 oz cup daily. Secondly, scanning the exclusive cup daily with the SUBWAY FRESHBUZZ APP will also give fans an extra entry and access to exclusive Taylor Swift videos. The video content will be changed weekly during the month of October, and it will provide participants with additional opportunities to win.
The exciting sweepstakes launch comes in conjunction with Swift’s new album, “1989.” Her first ever pop album, which will be available in stores on Oct. 27, is currently available for pre-buy at TaylorSwift.com.
“Taylor’s new album is highly anticipated. We know many SUBWAY guests and Diet Coke drinkers are passionate Taylor Swift fans too,” said Tony Pace, Chief Marketing Officer for SUBWAY® Restaurants. “That’s why we’re glad to collaborate with Diet Coke, to deliver exclusive access and experiences that fans cannot find anywhere else.”
The highly anticipated promotion begins October 1 and runs through Nov. 15. Subway is working to massively advertise Taylor’s partnership in a way which will reach her target audience. All #MeetTaylor winners will receive a trip for two which includes airfare, hotel, transportation, $500 and tickets to a concert on her 2015 tour. Entrants must be U.S. residents and age 13 or older.
Swift is not only a top selling entertainer, she also undeniably is a master marketing mind. She has previously partnered up with Keds, Elizabeth Arden, and CoverGirl, among others.
