Six Apart, http://www.sixapart.com a leading globally recognized provider of award winning content management software and services, has announced its grand opening of its official corporate headquarters to New York City.
Six Apart’s new corporate office, located on Broadway in SoHo, has an open concept which provides the company with the ability to collaborate with neighboring companies like Thrillist, Foursquare and others. A recent 2012 New York Times article suggests companies like Six Apart are taking the plunge into NYC and scaling down operations in Silicon Valley, indicating a growing trend among tech companies in general. As a commercial real estate agent in Manhattan, I have found the old manufacturers lofts of yesterday are fast becoming today’s hubs of sheer technical genius.

In the company’s press release, President and CEO Nobuhiro Seki stated, “This is an exciting and important decision for us, being in New York City will help Six Apart move into a new phase by allowing us to better serve our global customers, take advantage of local talent and expand our business partnerships and acquisitions.”
Robert Minton, Vice President/General Manager North America, is excited at the unique and growth possibilities realized by the move to New York City. “We find New York City quite welcoming and feel it will help provide the collaboration we need .” Mr. Minton further states that the upcoming objectives of the company include building a team in both New York City and Silicon Valley, constantly upgrading and updating its software, completing some technology acquisitions, and to acquire additional tools to help grow business in its entirety.

I find this product (with my limited knowledge), to be very interesting as well as “cutting edge”, with the ability for bloggers to boost productivity instead of wasting time with software issues requiring numerous phone calls to technical support desks. I urge all bloggers to do some research and reach out to this company to see how they can form fit their products to assist in your self publishing needs.
