Threats from Iran, turmoil involving Jerusalem, an economic collapse of the world in one hour, and religious persecution proliferating. Sounds as though these news bytes read from today’s cable news broadcasts of CNN, ABC, or MSNBC News does it not?
However these points of contention are already written about in the Bible thousands of years prior as prophecies for the end time to be fulfilled during our time. The Bible is so accurate skeptics murmur that those portions of the Bible must have been written recently as they do about many other Bible predictions that have already taken place. This badly stubborn call only works if you believe the Bible was written last year which is an assumption too ridiculous to bother responding.https://www.ministrymagazine.org/archive/1947/06/dealing-with-bible-skeptics
Rise of the anti-Christ
A charismatic world leader will emerge to solidify anti-Semitic and anti-Christian forces that have begun to dominate the world’s geo-political scene. Speculation is already simmering about where this dark figure will emerge from. The turmoil in Iraq, Syria, and Iran with ISIS and the explosion of Islamic radicalism qualifies this region as a potential birthing ground for the anti-Christ to emerge. Only a handful of nations can host the rise of the anti-Christ to power according to the Bible.http://www.lamblion.com/articles/articles_tribulation7.php
Somebody is going to have the power and political savvy to pull the warring factions together. Whether it will be the Islamic Mahdi as predicted in Islamic eschatology is an additional question mark. As warned in Daniel 8 the power of the anti-Christ is at work and will cause “the craft to prosper”, or deception. The anti-Christ will be a master of deception which should fit in well to the current geo-political systems.
The anti-Christ will eventually move his administration to Jerusalem and usurp authority of the Jewish Temple and counterfeit himself as God.
The Jerusalem/Israel Problem
The Jews, Christians, and Muslims have vested interest in the city of Jerusalem. The turmoil involving “the city of God” is a core contention concerning who will establish ultimate supremacy of Jerusalem based on the Quran, Torah, or Bible.
If the Muslims do not establish ultimate control of Jerusalem, then the Quran is a lie. If the Jews do not maintain authority over Jerusalem, then their culture will eventually fade away. If the Jews do not maintain control over Jerusalem, then what Jesus said is not true for the Christians. The problem of Jerusalem goes far beyond a political solution….it is a matter of spiritual authority.
The world has always had a problem with the Jews and Israel which would escalate in the last days. Anti-Semitism would become an issue of persecution and that is exactly what is transpiring today. Hatred of the Jews is rearing its head in Europe, Ukraine, America, Asia, and South America.
In Joel Yahweh God’s fury against the nations will come full circle against nations that have scattered His chosen people and parted His land as Israel’s inheritance.
Assault on Israel by Islamic coalition
No it is not the battle of Armageddon but many superficial readers of the Bible believe it is (read your Bible!!). Ezekiel 38 details a group of nations, Persia, Ethiopia, Libya, Gomer, the house of Togarmath, Gog, chief princes of Meshech and Tubal, Magog and descendants of many others will rise up and attempt to destroy Israel. This unholy alliance will have Anti-Semitism forging their hatred against Israel.
Ezekiel 38: 4 stipulates that God will put “hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth” for final dispensation. This vast army will cover the land as a cloud due to their immense number. The slaughter will be so horrific that it will take Israel seven months to bury the bodies from the carnage which is declared in Ezekiel 39:12.
Coming economic world collapse
An ominous world economic collapse will occur according to Revelation 18:17-18, clear evidence that this prophesy was written for our time. http://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Revelation-18-17/
For in an hour so great riches is made desolate. And every shipmaster, and every one that saileth any wither, and mariners, and as many as gain their living by sea, stood afar off, and cried when they saw the smoke of her (Babylon) burning saying, “What city is like unto this great city?”–Revelation 18: 17-18.
Babylon represents the economic system that the world has relied upon and a catastrophic event has cause devastation in one hour. With the speed and connections there is to all of the world’s economies, it is quite feasible that a tremendous collapse can impact world economies in the time stipulated in the Bible. It could not have happened in any other time period. Revelation 18 is for our time.
Jerusalem’s two eyewitnesses
This spectacular prediction in Revelation even baffles the scoffers and doubters. There are two eyewitnesses that will be prophesying and showing great wonders in the city of Jerusalem. Knowledgeable Bible scholars believe these two witnesses will be Enoch and Elijah, two individuals taken by God before their actual deaths as recorded in Genesis and 2 Kings.http://www.arewelivinginthelastdays.com/article/2witnesses/2w.htm
The anti-Christ will have these two witnesses killed and their bodies will lie in the street three days while the whole world watches. The whole world being able to see this spectacle while the bodies of Elijah and Enoch lays in the street after being killed can only take place with the mass communication of television being broadcast by satellite, something that was an impossibility until recent technological advances.
The anti-Christ controlling buying and selling
Selling and purchasing at point of sale using electronic devices which drive electronic transactions could not have happened during any other time period. Paperless transactions to checking, savings, credit card accounts, or lines of credit involving stocks, bonds, or other items of intrinsic value can be controlled world-wide from a single location. The movement of billions in currency seamlessly is now child’s play.
The Bible was light years ahead of its time in predicting activity today even though written thousands of years ago. God’s word is unequalled and unchallenged by the explanations of today. There is no disputing what the Bible has already declared and clearly accurately predicted what our world would look like even though written long ago.
The doubters, scoffers, and unbelievers have nothing to challenge the authority and truth that is in the process of coming to pass during our time.
