The popular Gilt City Warehouse sale is headed back to town on Friday, November 14 and Saturday November 15. Bargain hunting Washingtonians have the opportunity to shop till they drop and snatch up designer clothing, accessories and home décor at 90% off regular prices. Held twice a year, this is DC’s version of a New York sample sale.
Fashion savvy shoppers have long been familiar with Gilt.com, a membership online flash sale site that has daily sales of limited quantities on a first-come first-serve basis. The warehouse sale is a way to bring the online experience to a brick and mortar location.
The November event takes on added cache with the addition of a John Varvatos pop up shop showcasing fall and winter pieces from both the collection and John Varvatos USA. If this sale is any indication of previous sales, shoppers will line up early hoping to get their hands on some of the top designers at significantly reduced prices. Past sales have featured names such as Billy Reid, Thomas Pink, Hugo Boss, Canali and Prada.
While the past several warehouse events have been held at the Longview Gallery, this time the party will be at Dock5 at Union Market. And party is truly an understatement. Shoppers will be entertained by live music and treated to specialty cocktails and snacks by Pop Chips and Snack Factory Pretzel Crisps as they make their way through the racks.
Tickets for the Warehouse Sale range from $10 – $20 and are available through Gilt City.
