On August 15, 2005, at 11 p.m. Susan MacLeod-Browning had an experience in Bobcaygeon, Ontario that she calls the ‘Night of the Sasquatch” and it changed her life forever.
“I had what is called an encounter with four or five tall hairy, bear ape-like beings that changed my life so completely. Black ‘things’ that flew inside and outside of my home… to finally a ‘plasma/holographic craft’ that gently floated over the tree line – all in the space of 15 or 20 minutes. Even to this day, I am still at times re-experiencing this traumatic event.”
On her site entitled Healing Quest www.healingquest.ca/the-sasquatch, she explained this incident in more detail.
“I remember that night well. My dear friend Barry had just passed away the previous afternoon and the next night I made a fire in my teepee for him… took down my medicine bundle and my drum. As I sang his spirit a song, I missed Barry so much already. It was a nice bright starlit night. The fire was comforting and I felt Barry was there too.”
Then she heard what sounded like a grunt – and then another one.
“Then something brushed the skin of my tepee. I looked out across the pond that looked upon my house (but) I didn’t see anything.” This was followed by a loud snort/grunt and the tepee shook. “My first thought was it was a bear so I put more wood on the fire and put some long sticks in to get them on fire so I could go out with a burning torch. I sat still for some time and heard nothing. ‘Good,’ I thought. ‘The bear was gone.’ I gathered up my things and got ready to leave.
But what she then encountered came as a complete surprise.
“I was not 10 feet from my tepee when I heard a noise. I turned toward the Miskwaaziibi (Red River that ran behind the tepee) and there on the riverbank in the moonlight, I could make out the shadows of four to five ‘beings.’ Some stood seven to eight feet tall or taller and others were shorter. Then I noticed the eyes. They were reflective/like an animal’s eyes in the lights. Some were red, some green, some yellow.”
MacLeod-Browning described their fur as “very long and shaggy” and their stance as “sloped” at the shoulders, and “some with long arms, others stocky.”
She decided to return to the tepee, grab her drum and make noise to hopefully scare them away. However, when she went back out she saw the creatures had only moved a bit down the riverbank. She quickly went to her house, with “my heart just racing.”
She could not wait to tell her family about what she had seen but when she reached her back door, her daughter met her.
“Mom, you better get in here,” she said. “Something is going on!”
She found that her daughter and sons were both upset due to “black things all through the house.” MacLeod-Browning lit her sage to purify the house and almost instantly, calm returned. But she noted, “The kids were really shook up.”
Apparently these dark shadows had also been in the garage where her partner was situated at the time.
“I felt his fear,” she said adding that she was truly overwhelmed by it all. “We decided to light some Sweetgrass and Mel went thru the garage with it.”
Meanwhile MacLeod-Browning needed time to collect her thoughts so she went out to the middle of Edwina Drive. It was about 11 p.m. and all was still. She prayed and asked for answers as to why these things were happening. Then she noticed three ‘stars’ moving together in the sky.
“The formation then inverted itself but kept on moving in the same southern direction as if to get my attention.” Then they shone orange/yellow lights and she realized just how big one of them was. “I mean a MASSIVE flat blue/black ship. I felt that I was looking under the great hull of a ship. It was majestic.” It moved slowly, like a blimp just puttering along, she said and then disappeared over the tree line.
“I knew what I saw but just how do you explain this?” she asked. “Seeing this to me was much like a trauma.” In fact, it took MacLeod-Browning three years before she could even sit down to write about this incident. Upon reflection, she equated the Sasquatch to the hairy thing from Star Wars.
“I really think this is why all these sightings, footprints, hair… but never a body or any evidence… I know what it is to see such a thing and have no proof.” She even searched the area for any evidence but found none. “Yet they were there. I do believe the craft is a connection and is to me obvious. They are some sort of travelers… and have a ride home!”
As to the black things flying through her home and garage, she could only equate it with “some sort of energy.”
Subsequently, Jack Kewaunee, author of The Psychic Sasquatch, contacted her to discuss this incident. MacLeod-Browning was also interviewed on Tom Biscardi’s radio show at www.bigfootlive.com. Then one night three years later, she was listening to Coast-to-Coast Internet radio where Dr. Richard Boylan was being interviewed.
“I remember he was in the Fast Walkers UFO movie. He talked of a type of being that completely described the beings I had seen. He called them ‘Infra Terrestrials.’ I knew I had to find out more so I emailed him. Next thing I knew, he replied and made me an offer to come to Bobcaygeon to do a UFO Conference if I could find 15 people. No problem. The date was set for July 12-13 2008.”
In return for organizing the event, MacLeod-Browning was offered a regression session with Boylan.
“I was so excited. The thought of going back to that night was to be a very emotion filled time for me. As Dr. Boylan tried to take me back to the tepee I was in at the time of the sighting of the Infra Terrestrials, a star person’s face appeared to me and would not let me go anywhere. It actually sidetracked me and took me away from Richard’s voice. I got the feeling this star person was really trying to get me to think ‘if’ I really wanted this. I just kept on saying, ‘Yes.’”
Then she began to cry.
“I felt I knew this being. I just felt such love and caring beyond words.” Then in a flash, she found herself inside her tepee. “I then remembered ‘before’ the Infra Terrestrials showed up, I felt a presence in the tepee. I thought it was my friend who had passed on that day as I thought I felt him too. Well, it was not him. It was in fact the star people who brought the Infra’s out.
I was frozen speechless in a welling up of emotion that came pouring out of my heart. I cried tears of happiness, love in my reconnecting with an old acquaintance. I just cried for what seemed a long time. I kept on telling them, ‘It is so good to see you again.’ Then (a female) came to hold me. I cried even harder. The star person had a young one with her who I also knew. It was a time of great joy. We hugged. We were glad to hold each other.”
While all of this was going on, she was speechless but Boylan waited patiently. She then saw the Sasquatch again and it was explained that the black things were “little ones that out of curiosity came to visit my children.”
Then she saw the huge craft again but this time, met the crew including a “regal leader with a red outfit and a well defined head,” who said hello to her telepathically. Since then, MacLeod-Browning has had other UFO sightings and is still mystified by what happened back in Bobcaygeon in 1972.
“I have from time to time looked to the heavens and wondered what other life could be up there… and what other life could already be here,” she said.
Sasquatch, also known as Bigfoot, Yeti and other names around the world might very well be an inter-dimensional creature. It has proved so elusive that no one has been able to capture it or provide definitive proof that it actually exists. Perhaps the new show, Bigfoot Killers will bring some answers.
