Fans of the popular series “The Walking Dead” has been waiting since last season to find out what happened to Beth Greene, and the moment is finally here. On October 31 Wetpaint Entertainment posted spoilers for “Slabtown,” the fourth episode of the fifth season, which will explain where Beth was taken. A new character named Noah will make his debut in the episode, and will be tied to both Beth and the prison survivors.
Over the summer, rumors surfaced that actor Tyler Williams had joined the cast, after he was spotted filming on location with the other cast members. Sources now confirm that the actor will play the role of Noah, another survivor that Beth meets while she is in a hospital in downtown Atlanta. Noah and Beth will become friends among the experiments and death that surrounds them at the hospital.
Spoilers have revealed that Noah and Beth attempt an escape from the hospital, and Noah is able to get away. Meanwhile, Daryl and Carol took off in a car after they spot the one that took Beth, except only Daryl returned to the church in the previous episode. It’s likely that Noah will be the person in the woods with Daryl that wasn’t seen in the final moments of last week’s episode. Filming spoilers surfaced a few weeks ago and indicated that Carol is hit by a car, and taken to the same hospital where Beth is being held.
Last month Screenrant posted that Tyler James Williams had been cast on the show, but no details where given about the character. Williams can also be seen in the season five trailer which was released during San Diego Comic-Con. Fans have pointed out that he is wearing scrubs and has bruises. Photos from the set have shown him filming in regular clothes with Norman Reedus and others like Glenn.
“Slabtown” will air on Sunday, November 2 at 9 p.m. on AMC. Noah has been seen filming recently, meaning that he will live past the midseason finale. He will have a connection to Officer Dawn Lerner, who keeps Beth at the hospital. But when the prison group goes looking for Beth at the hospital, Noah will have an important role in the plan. Rumors have been circling that Beth will be a casualty of the midseason finale, as well as rumors that Emily Kinney is returning to film in Georgia this week.
Actor Tyler Williams is most well known for playing the lead role on “Everybody Hates Chris” for four years. He most recently appeared in the major motion picture “Dear White People” as Lionel Higgins. He appeared in the short lived series “Go On,” and has guest starred on dozens of popular television dramas. It’s unclear how many episodes Williams will appear in, but the character does appear in the second half of the series.
