Once in a while, we are fortunate to come across a rare beauty—someone gorgeously special; a real woman—blessed with a goddess body—that ever so often—she stops traffic when walking down the city streets. There are a select few females in today’s society that fits the above-mentioned description, but unfortunately for them, I’m only talking about one in particular—and her name is Nikole Milan—a model, an actress and a recording artist—all wrapped up in one.
Nikole took time out of her busy schedule—to talk to me about her most memorable modeling moment, the life advice she lives by, and her divine connection to super model—Tyra Banks.
ZT: Growing up, who were some of your influences?
NM: I would definitely say Tyra Banks because she’s stunning, confident and an entrepreneur—like I am. She’s highly successful and she isn’t afraid to explore different avenues of talent. I love those qualities about her, and her hard work and dedication shows that you can be anything you want—if you put in the work.
ZT: Which famous person do people say you look like the most?
ZT: What is your most memorable modeling moment?
NM: Out in LA, this past July was the most memorable, awesome people and shoots, and the beaches were home for me. I loved it so much that I’m thinking of moving to LA very soon.
ZT: What’s your motto or life advice that you live by?
NM: Never give up! Life will try to knock you down and discourage you, but at the end of the day—YOU know what you want, and only YOU can do it.
ZT: How would you describe your music?
NM: Catchy, sexy, and fun. I got Bars! (Laughs out loud).
ZT: What’s the greatest obstacle you had to overcome and how did you overcome it?
NM: In this business—you have to be consistent by reinventing yourself, staying relevant, pushing boundaries and making moves. The journey is never ending, and truthfully—I don’t think I’ve met my greatest obstacle yet.
ZT: What’s the worst advice anyone has ever given you?
NM: That I need to be a stripper. I totally disagree because—just cause you’re pretty doesn’t mean you should strip! More power to those who do, but as for me—I believe my images speak for themselves.
ZT: What would you say is your greatest accomplishment?
NM: My modeling portfolio—it’s pretty impressive!
ZT: What advice would you give to an aspiring model/rapper?
NM: For aspiring models—I would say invest in yourself, build your portfolio, and do not let these fools manipulate you with false opportunities or sexual advances. Remember—YOU run the show. Period! And as for rappers—I’m still new to this, but from what I’m learning, I would definitely say—have fun with it, experiment with your voice, stay confident, and write, write, write!
ZT: Years from now, when people say Nikole Milan, what will they say?
NM: She’s dope!
ZT: What’s your favorite word and why?
NM: I say the word—‘right’—a lot, but I don’t know if it’s my fave (laughs out loud).
ZT: How can people get in contact with you?
NM: For business or general inquiries—people can email me at email@example.com or send me a message via my website at NikoleMilan.com; also, I can be reached on Instagram @nikolemilan.
ZT: Thanks for a great interview, and as an honored guest, is there anything else you would like to say?
NM: Thank you.
ZT: Thank you Nikole—and in conclusion, I want to end this wonderful Q&A session with Mel Blanc’s famous catchphrase, “That’s All Folks!” Thanks again for reading another Through the Wire article, subscribe to author, and always remember that (P) Positive, (E) Energy, (A) Always, (C) Creates, (E) Elevation (PEACE).
