This is a “rewind” back to season two, episode sixteen called, “Other side of the tracks” (08/01/2014). This is a cable TV show & due to the nature of the subject matter. Viewer discretion is advised. We follow a former prosecutor named Kelly Siegler & a crime scene investigator (CSI) Yolanda McClary, as they open a cold homicide case.
Kelly & Yolanda travel to Cambridge, Ohio & they discuss the death of 17 year old Robin Stone who was also pregnant. She went missing on Aug. 17, 1991 as she started her senior year in high school. Several hunters found Robin’s body on Dec. 21, 1991. She had kept a journal on all of the teen boys she had sex with & the detectives want to find out who the real father is.
Lee Savage became the first suspect after Robin told him he was the father of her unborn child. He always denied it. Robin detailed in her journal all of her sexual activities with teen boys, but said that she wanted to be with Lee. The Savage family house is not too far from where Robin’s body was found. Jack Savage who is the father of Lee felt that Robin was “welfare trash.” He became the second suspect because he hated Robin who was poor.
Robin got an urgent call on the evening she disappeared, but didn’t tell her mom who she spoke with. Lee never visited Robin’s family after she died & didn’t go to her funeral either. The hunters who found Robin back in 1991, guided the detectives through the spot where they found her body. The location is a place where people have to walk into which isn’t visible from the road. Yolanda said that Robin’s skeleton bones showed no signs of a gun shot or knife wound.
The detectives break down the timeline on the day Robin disappeared. They also interview friends, family & witnesses about the Savage family. The case turns interesting when they find out that Jake was having sex with Robin too. Detectives finally talk to him & Lee who both deny everything concerning Robin. They also get a DNA swab from both men.
Who killed Robin? Was it the father or his son? You can get information on “Other side of the tracks” over at TNT.
