This is a “rewind” back to season two, episode one called, “Gone” (01/17/2014). This is a cable TV show & due to the nature of the subject matter. Viewer discretion is advised. We follow a former prosecutor named Kelly Siegler & real crime scene investigator (CSI) Yolanda McClary, as they open a cold homicide case.
“Gone” opened with Kelly & Yolanda heading to Altus, Oklahoma to seek out a missing woman named Tracy Allen. She had two daughters. On May 18, 2001, her husband named Garland Allen told police that Tracy left town with a new boyfriend. He had a long violent past with women & abused Tracy. On May 18 she disappeared & told no one nor contacted anyone after she left.
Tracy won custody of her two kids & divorced Garland. Her friends say that Tracy had a new black male boyfriend. Kelly wants to find this boyfriend to question him & it was said that Tracy was unhappy with her life at the time. She may have run away, but Kelly & Yolanda want to find out if Garland murdered her before the disappearance.
Garland’s mother named Betty filed a missing report in 2002. She also got custody of the two kids. Garland told police that Tracy showed up during dinner with this black boyfriend. She told him that she was leaving & the kids are his responsibility now. She got in her truck & drove off never to be seen ever again. Tracy’s mother Wanda was never told anything about Tracy’s disappearance. She also was never contacted by Garland, his mother or granddaughters.
They have no body & no physical evidence of Tracy. The detectives questioned all of her close friends who stamped down when she exactly disappeared. They found the boyfriend named Greg Gibson who was in prison when Tracy went missing. The detectives believe that Garland who was abusive, racist & Tracy was leaving him. That, that might have pushed him over the edge to murder Tracy.
Did Garland lie to police detectives? How come his mother blamed her own son? Why was a carpet missing from Garland’s trailer home? You can watch “Gone” over at TNT.
