The network ordered 10 episodes for that 2nd season beginning Jan. 17, 2014. The popularity of the TV show prompted TNT to add 8 additional episodes for a summer run beginning June 6, 2014.
This is a “rewind” back to season two, episode five called, “He said, He said” (02/07/2014). This is a cable TV show & due to the nature of the subject matter. Viewer discretion is advised. We follow a former prosecutor named Kelly Siegler & real crime scene investigator (CSI) Yolanda McClary, as they open a cold homicide case.
Kelly & Yolanda head to Vigo County, Indiana where a young woman named Erika Case (19) was found dead in a home on Sept. 6, 1998. She was stabbed & cut more than 30 times & there was blood splattered around her body. She & her sister Mary were house sitting at the time. On the night of Sept. 5th, Erika had a swim party with two young men named Isaiah Dooley & Clint Mackey. Mary found Erika’s body the next morning.
Isaiah & Clint both have two different stories of that night & became the prime suspects. Isiaiah was Erika’s best friend in high school. He claims that he left Erika alive when Clint brought him home early on Sept. 6th. Clint has a violent past who was arrested for sexual misconduct. He was never convicted. He claims Isaiah went back into the house before they both left Erika.
Yolanda says both men were at the party & their DNA was all over the home. All were drinking alcohol & taking LSD. Clint wanted to have sex with Erika who rebuffed him. The detectives go back to the home where the crime happened. They re-enact the events by following the blood evidence. They also look at what happened in the driveway in front of the house.
The detectives talk to a lot of witnesses close to Isaiah & Clint, but get no new information. They also talk to Erika’s family & friends. Isaiah is scared & hires a lawyer. They talk to Clint who keeps dis-agreeing with the new information.
Which man’s story do the detectives believe? Can the evidence guide detectives into the direction of the actual killer? You can watch “He said, He said” over at TNT.
