The lists have returned after several weeks of absences. Several new changes this week, including three new top ten hits since the end of May! Seven of them; however, even after many weeks, are still fighting strong.
I wondered if perhaps Hillsong UNITED’s “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)” had been bumped off of the charts from their dominating number ONE position while I was away. Apparently not. This band is a fighter and is still at number one like they have been for nearly three months. The song comes from their album “Zion” which was released on February 22, 2013.
The Newsboys are back at number two this week with their song, “We Believe.” Unfortunately, their longtime hit song “God’s Not Dead” has dropped out of the top ten. “We Believe” comes to us from their album “Restart” which was released on September 10, 2013.
It is as if he never moved. Phil Wickham’s song “This is Amazing Grace” is still at number three this week. His powerful song comes from his album “The Ascension” which was released on September 24, 2013.
Crowder has been making progress over the last few weeks, now residing in the top five. He stands currently at number four with his song “I Am.” Crowder’s new single comes from his album “Neon Steeple” which was recently released on May 27, 2014.
Matthew West has also been making some progress, up now to number five with his song “Do Something.” The song comes from his album “Into the Light” which was released on September 25, 2012.
Sadly for Francesca Battistelli, her song “Write Your Story,” has been beginning to decline in popularity. She sits at number six this week. This song comes from her album “If We’re Honest” which was released this year on April 22.
A newer face to the charts, and sitting comfortably at number seven this week, is Matt Maher with his song “All the People said Amen.” The song comes his album by the same name, “Matt Maher: All the People said Amen” which was released on April 23, 2013.
Building 429 ft. Blanca Callahan
Building 429 has also been making progress with their song “Press On” which now sits at number eight. This song features Blanca Callahan, who left Group 1 Crew to begin a solo career in late 2013. “Press On” comes from Building 429’s album “We Won’t Be Shaken” which was released on June 4th, 2013.
JJ Weeks Band
Another new face is JJ Weeks Band. This week marks their first time in the top ten, as they now sit at number nine with their song “Let Them See You.” Their hit song comes from their album, “All Over The World” which was released on March 26, 2013.
After writing and producing music for over a decade, Chris Tomlin is back with a new single “Waterfall” which has now claimed the number ten position. “Waterfall” belongs to Chris Tomlin’s newest album that has not yet been completed yet, but the song is currently available for purchase as a single.
