Manchester United continue to look to make some moves in the transfer market and it looks like they could be set to remain in a selling mood as Danny Welbeck is being linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur according to the Guardian on August 31, 2014.
Welbeck has looked out of favor since the appointment of Louis Van Gaal and he is believed looking for a move to enjoy more first team action with another English Premier League club.
Sunderland manager Gus Poyet had been rumored to be interested but it appears that Mauricio Pochettino of Tottenham is most likely to have the ability to make a late move for Welbeck.
Spurs could use another front man that can play across all three positions on the front line as he seeks to have a squad deep enough to fight for silverware on all fronts this season.
Arsenal are tipped to make a potential move for Welbeck as they truly need another forward after learning that Olivier Giroud will be out until at least January with his leg injury.
However, it is just as likely that Van Gaal could retain Welbeck as an extra option for the additional fixtures of the campaign, especially the Thursday night UEFA Europa League matches that traditionally have caused major selection problems for Premier League sides.
