The United Martial Arts Society will host a martial art event celebrating their 15 year anniversary on February 20-21, 2015. The UMAS was founded by Grandmaster Troy L. Smith, 8th Dan, who has been involved in martial arts for 36 years. His well-known seminars have also been featured in the major martial art publication: TKD Taekwondo Times, as well as the UMAS school achievements.
Grandmaster Smith is certified by Korea Chang Moo Kwan Tae Kwon Do, United States National Taekwondo Federation, Korea Moo Moo Kwan Hapkido Association, Kom Do Kwan Martial Arts Association and the Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo Headquarters located in Seoul, South Korea.
He also holds black belt ranks in American Kenpo, White Tiger Kenpo Karate and Kyuki-Do. He is also the founder of the Universal Hapkido Society and the Ko Shin Kenpo Karate Association.
Grandmaster Smith explains:
“The UMAS is a multifaceted organization that has found home to members of Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, Karate and other martial arts. The goal of the UMAS has always been to offer the best service, excellent instruction and advance training for its members.”

The UMAS Celebratory Event will be held at the Woodlands Aikido Center, 1045 Pruitt Road in The Woodlands, Texas and will cover many styles of martial arts including, Hapkido, Tae Kwon Do, Kenpo, Krav Maga, Aikido, Shorin Ryu Karate Do, Pambuan Arnis Caballero and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, as well as weapons training.
Organizations represented by the attending Grandmasters and Masters include: Korea Moo Moo Kwan, Ryong Moo Kwan, Ko Shin Kwan, Kom Do Kwan, Sang Moo Kwan, World Hanki Martial Arts Federation and the World Taekwondo Federation.
Grandmaster Smith added:
