Fossils are a link to our history, and our origins. Everything has been fossilized, from plant life to human life. Many of these fossils are so well preserved that you can tell what they ate, what they looked like, or what kind of soil the grew in, even what they are wearing. Certain kinds of mummification could be considered fossils, albeit a soft variety, they do preserve the life form. Fossils are a rich source of the history of life on Earth.
Where do fossil come from? There are four processes of how fossils are formed. One is through flooding. Floods will stir up sediment and stone from ground and deposit them on top of the living organism. Pressure and quick air drying then forms a type of cast over the organism. As floods and sediment continually wash over the area, it causes more pressure to bear down on the organism buried, causing it to create an impression of that organism. After a few months or years, the “cast” becomes a rock formation. It will stay there until someone stumbles across it. The best known fossil “manufacturing” was what we come to know as Noah’s Flood. Billions of life forms, from tiny single cell organisms to gigantic dinosaurs were killed during that flood. These were the life forms that could not be taken on the Ark to be saved. They became instant fossils, and a history of what life roamed the Earth prior to the flood.
Quicksand and tar pits are another fossil making system. Animals and man would get swallowed up in these soft spots of Earth, and they are never found until the land is drained or a drought sweeps through the region and dries up the quicksand and tar pit.. These areas will most likely mummify the victims, then fossilize them as they dry up. You could find a wealth of information of life in the region. There may be many people who were reported missing in these soft traps.
Earthquakes would be another source of fossilization. As the Earth shifts and shakes violently, it will bury any living thing in the surrounding area. Dwellings, mountains, landslides and sinkholes could be caused by an earthquake, swallowing up any living organism. Dirt and rock will be compressed around the life form, causing a fossil to form. These fossils may not be as easy to find as those caused from flooding. They will more likely move and shift with the moving of the earth plates, causing the life forms to disengage from itself, therefore pieces and parts could be a few feet apart to a mile apart.
Finally, mummification could be considered a soft form of fossilization. You may not see this as much in the natural. It is caused by the body, or plant life, being preserved in conditions that keep the life form from decaying. Atmospheric conditions, temperature, lack of moisture all contribute to the mummification process. Different civilizations practice some form of embalming or taxidermy that preserves the body. The most famous of those were the ancient Egyptians. That was a religious belief they had, to keep the body intact for the afterlife. The bodies soon became mummified, giving the modern society a glimpse of their culture, how they dressed, their physical appearance, and their status in their society.
Fossils do not give us a true history of age. Even though carbon dating is the norm to test for the age of the fossil, it is not dependable. Carbons may vary from site to site, and the unit used to measure time is distorted. They designed carbon dating to help them spread the evolution propaganda. I am almost willing to bet that carbon dating is the reason that “scientists” came up with the different stages of human development. Mismatching fossils to create a a life form that never existed, helps to propagate a life. There is never an “evolutionary process” that could be assumed from fossils. Only God has created life, and preserved it in fossils as evidence that the Scriptures are true.
I hope this helps to explain where fossils came from, and that they are evidence of God’s amazing power and creativity. Evolution is an inexact science, only supported by theories an imaginations. Creationism, on the other hand, is true, supported by the scriptures and fossils. To find truth requires research, study, understanding, and Faith.
