In recent times the acquiring of “Borean Leather” has diminished. As people move onto other things to prepare themselves for the upcoming “World of Warcraft” expansion, “Warlords of Draenor.” Since this is the case, farming in certain spots has become more open and profitable. Due to low market volume and a decent demand, leather prices have soared upward. You are going to pick up on a few great leather farming spots as well as techniques to maximize your gold per hour rate. Complete with step by step guidelines and best route tracing overviews.
Sorting through the endless guides, farming tips and so called magic gold per hour fixes, one can find it overwhelming. So in the honor of getting right to it, here is the first great farming spot!
Zul’Drak – Gundrak, Snake leashing and skinning. Unyielding Constrictors
This is a popular and rarely found fun farming instance. The Skinning run is so short, in fact it takes just three to four minutes, that it is possible to do ten runs in just a half an hour! While this may leave you a little bit of time to mosey around because o Blizzards ten instances per hour rule. You can easily circumvent this if you go back to vendor your full packs and follow a few simple rules.
Enter Gundrak at the Western portal, as this will put you in direct line with the route that will be being farmed. Note that, “aggroing” only the “Unyielding Constrictors” is key and it is recommended to be at least Level 85, if your not Level 90 already. Jump from the top of the stairs to the pool of water below, being careful to avoid solid contact with the ground to avoid repair costs. Next in the first room work your “kiting” from left to right and then toward the next room. The best method for the first room is to mimic the pattern of a lightning bolt, more on that in the first room overview. You should only have to run through the mobs or run through their tail to catch threat.
Then in the second room, grab the first set of constrictors and leap down the bone pile in front of the “Drakkari Fire Weavers” walking toward you. Unfortunately this ONE non-constrictor pull is necessary and unavoidable. With these 14 mobs running behind you move up, down and up the next two bone piles finally pulling the last group of “Unyielding Constrictors.” The only thing here to watch for is when one of the trolls stops to range at the bottom of the second bone pile.
Be sure to have all of your items or at least the ones you can do with out banked, as having as many open slots as possible is essential to maximize profit. After you have the “Drakkari Fire Weaver(s)” down, if he’s still at the bottom of the second pile, simply loot the entire slew of corpses and begin skinning your “Borean Leather!” Since your going to get a lot of poor, common and uncommon items all that is needed to be done is to weed out the less expensive items and always take the more expensive ones. Doing this ensures your gold grab is high as well as getting rid of items that are simply useless. Be sure to keep the stacked items, as in stacks of 20, for they vendor for far more than most poor or common items. Only return to vendor your packs when your lowest item is worth around 2 or 2 and a half gold . Or you feel like you don’t want to fit anymore into your packs.
Completing this method will take 20 to 30 minutes, stuff your pack full of greens as well as some blues and give you around 200+ gold worth of vendor-able items. On top of the 18 to 54 pieces of “Borean Leather,” per run, not too shabby for 30 minutes! Remember to exit the instance after the above is followed, immediately and right-click your portrait, selecting “Reset all instances.” Easy enough right?
