The latest WWE news, rather, rumors, claim The Undertaker is dead. While “Deadman” is alive, his wife’s message social media left many scratching their noggins about the wrestler’s welfare.
The season for celebrity death hoaxes is alive and well, but for WWE’s Undertaker, many are not convinced he is doing well, let alone, among the living.
Some suggest the Grim Reaper paid “Taker,” real name, Mark Calaway, a visit at some point after World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.upset him in a beat-down back in April during Wrestlemania 30, citing an SESCOOPS report.
Not many saw the defeat coming, considering The Undertaker character had an unblemished WWE record until that fateful night in which he was raced to a hospital after being handled like a rag doll in the ring.
The Undertaker dead rumors appear to have been stirred up after a Limp Bizkit concert in San Antonio, TX Saturday night. There, band frontman Fred Durst dedicated “Rollin'” to the audience. The song was used for a short time as the WWE veteran’s theme song during his colorful entrances.
“This next song goes out to our friend Mark Calaway, The Undertaker. He’s not doing real well right now and we want all our fans to keep him in their thoughts and prayers.”
However, Taker’s wife, Michelle McCool, an ex-WWE Diva, posted a calming, yet cryptic message on Instagram Sunday about her husband’s health, and squashed rumors about his death and failing health.
“Sadly, there’s always rumors about my hubby! Apparently he’s now super sick and not doing well! While we always appreciate thoughts & prayers, we are ALL GOOD IN THE HOOD!?? Headed to a #cc4c dinner! Don’t forget we will both be at the hill country galleria (Austin, tx) this Sunday for the CC4C micro marathon! Come join the fun, register early online & come run for our champions! #teamcaroline”
In the photo, The Undertaker and his wife showed the WWE visionary in good health, but the image was not dated. Not surprisingly, many question why the wrestler is not speaking out himself and has been off television, out of the public’s eye since losing to Lesnar.
Speaking of that bout, Taker showed obvious signs of aging. He wasn’t snappy on his feet, lacked dexterity and poise in the ring, but when you’re up against a beast like Brock, most opponents look discombobulated. As a consequence, fans thought the match was lethargic and ratings were abysmal.
It’s unknown if The Undertaker is doing well, but based on his wife’s post, he still has a heartbeat. Nonetheless, many suggest even if he recovers from whatever is ailing him, his WWE career is over.
